The author writes about training management systems,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], RTO training and consulting,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], AQTF and AVETMISS standards at
The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) has recently announced updates on its NCVER validation software and related systems. This update has excited most of the registered training organizations (RTOs) that have been looking forward to a faster means of checking the validity of their student records and of submitting these data to the national authority. Several reasons were cited for such an RTO response, and they include the added convenience of employing web-based data management.
In order for you to know what this means not only to vocational education and training (VET) administrators but also to the corresponding teaching staff and their students, the following list of advantages has been developed. The discussions will be based on the fact that the currently used NCVER validation software is PC-based.
1. The web-based system simply eliminates the hassles of data submission. Manual data submission and related transactions would now be replaced by a means that delivers data in speeds of a few seconds,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
2. The new system makes itself more available for software updates. The old,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], PC-based system would have users continually watch out for announcements of software updates from the national authority. The same might be the scenario with the new, web-based system except for the fact that both the announcements and the system updates would expectedly be more automatic.
3,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. The student records management system used by RTOs would be much more easily checked from time to time,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. More frequency in the checking of the student records means more probability of maintaining accuracy and transparency in the use of these systems as a special case and in conducting VET courses in general.
4,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Web-based tutorials may also become more readily available for starting vocational training providers and teachers,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. With the web-based system should come other web-based resources that would certainly help trainers see how and finally agree with the idea that the system really works well,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
5. Implementation of other AQTF standards for VET trainers may better flourish with the success of the web-based validation system launch. Once the new system proves to fruition to more effective implementation of standards--especially as they concern the student records--the rest of the essentials in conducting VET courses would certainly be given due attention. In other words, the success of the web-based validation system simply means a step towards progress for the rest of the AQTF standards.
Now, doesn't the update sound exciting? Indeed,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], for VET providers and trainers,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the progress is almost an irresistible stimulus for a leap for joy. As for incoming VET students,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], all these simply mean more quality in VET training and more confidence in pursuing enrollments.
