American women have come out of the shoe closet. This number may sound low to some. Shoe guru Meghan Cleary says she often speaks to women who have 400 pairs of shoes.
The survey also highlights the great lengths some women will go to for their shoes, with 43 percent of them saying they had been at least moderately injured by shoes. Tell us your shoe secrets: do you own hundreds of shoes? Have you sustained injuries wearing five inch heels?

I have about 30 pairs, which I sometimes feel is a bit much. But compared to my friends, I rarely have the shoe for a nice outfit to go out in. I think it good to have a wide variety of shoes for different occasions because style really does say something about you. You don have to have hundreds of pairs,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but just a good range. And as far as keeping money saved in your bank account,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], that may be preffered for some,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but think about it. What good are you doing by looking frumpy with a larger number in your bank account that you probably won ever use.

I own 4 pairs of shoes. 5 if you count riding boots. Why would I need more? 1 pair for work/formal events, 1 pair for casual stuff, 1 pair of Doc Martinesque boots and a pair of Trainers which I never really wear they are like 4 years old. Then again men,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], as a general rule dont go through the same hardship women do for shoes. My girlfriend and I went to a formal event one night and when we came home her heel were bleeding. My feet on the other hand were fine. Con someone explain the obsession people have with shoes?
