Before you do anything go here. My insurance for 18 days was $7. The next thing is passport control they only require your passport and your newly bought medical insurance. At this stage many people were turned back to buy this. After a few moments of close scrutiny I was allowed entry to collect my luggage. Next fill out your customs declaration form, above the exit is a detailed list of what must be declared. laptop. I wasn't and passed through trouble free. Keep your Insurance and customs forms for exiting the country. I met my girlfriend and we made our way by taxi to the central train station. The taxi ride is long as Borispol is 50km from the city centre and I am sure that a lot of travellers must feel that they are being taken for a ride, discount giuseppe zanotti sneakers, so dont panic. The train station is like anywhere in the world hustle and bustle and full of people that are on the take. Keep your wits about you and you will be alright. My girlfriend had made all arrangements for the train journey so I cannot comment on ticket purchase. We got a first class cabin and purchased all the places (4) and I had a lovely journey. The Provotnik (Carriage inspector) offered us tea or coffee and the cabin is well heated,Moncler Jacke, fresh bed linen is supplied and there is a lock on the door. Above the door is a hold for putting your bags in which just makes it all the more difficult for possible theives. Cost of tickets 100uah $20 I think - well worth it. Bring paper for the toilet and always were shoes. Get up early in the morning if you want to beat the rush for the toilet ! Also everyone in Ukraine seems to take sugar with tea/coffee so therefore you must make it clear that you want without sugar (Bez Sukhar). It boasts the largest steel factory in Europe, massive iron mining industry and quarries. Therefore it seems bleak and in winter the snow was turning a yucky black colour. Asthmatics beware as there is smog. I am informed though that during the spring and summer it does not seem as bleak. Getting around is by taxibus usually 1 uah a trip, or tram/trolley bus. I did not go to any nightclubs restaurants or bars as I was entertained every night by friends curious on meeting this stranger from Ireland. If you like football the local side Krivbass are second in the league to Dynamo Kiev. Go to the parks or the river ingulets for a nice walk. There hospitality is unlimited and I was made feel very welcome. And I was constantly invited to dinner by my girlfriends family and friends. I found anything goes as far as conversation is concerned and the food I was served was delicious. However unlike in Ireland where you get a large plate of food, you get a small plate and there are many different dishes laid out for you to try. Ukrainians take there time eating helping themselves to many plates of food with interval chutchuts of vodka, or champagne. If you do not drink I found that declining a drink was okay and not the faux pas I was led to believe. So dont wolf down your food take time and leave some room for the cakes (outstandingly good cakes). If invited to a dinner bring some wine/champagne or fresh fruit or a cake. They are very hygeinic and I disagree with some peoples entries that they are smelly ! they shower twice a day, dress smartly,Woolrich Arctic Jacket, remove their shoes on entering someones house (bring slippers). They have constant hot water and make use of it. Gifts: I found that small things went down a treat I brought some Baileys and fresh Irish salmon that was well received. Hennessy brandy and martini bianco are rarities and they would really appreciate these drinks. They have plenty of crystal, candy, bring tapes of the latest western music for the kids and modern books are difficult to get (A friend of mine is an English teachere there and was delighted to get new books for her students). Bring lots of toiletries and leave them behind. I hope this is a good help for you new explorers out there
: First of all can I say a big thank you to all those people who emailed me or responded to my query,http://woolrichoutletdeutschland.halod.com/, It was very helpful therefore I am writing my experiences for other people travelling to Ukraine and are nervous about it.
: Firstly Borispol: When you enter the terminal to your left is the medical insurance desk. Before you do anything go here. My insurance for 18 days was $7. The next thing is passport control they only require your passport and your newly bought medical insurance. At this stage many people were turned back to buy this. Also everyone in Ukraine seems to take sugar with tea/coffee so therefore you must make it clear that you want without sugar (Bez Sukhar). The train is slow and my journey to Krivoy Rog was approx 10 hours.
: Krivoy Rog is a very industrial city. It boasts the largest steel factory in Europe, massive iron mining industry and quarries. Therefore it seems bleak and in winter the snow was turning a yucky black colour. Asthmatics beware as there is smog. I am informed though that during the spring and summer it does not seem as bleak. Getting around is by taxibus usually 1 uah a trip,Woolrich Parka Schweiz Online Shop, or tram/trolley bus. I did not go to any nightclubs restaurants or bars as I was entertained every night by friends curious on meeting this stranger from Ireland. If you like football the local side Krivbass are second in the league to Dynamo Kiev. Go to the parks or the river ingulets for a nice walk. Remember to register your passport at IVIR this is a long drawn out process of tedious bureaucracy, I was lucky that my girlfriend did most of the hard work.
: Ukrainians: They are a great race freindly and warm. : They are very hygeinic and I disagree with some peoples entries that they are smelly ! they shower twice a day, dress smartly, cheap roger vivier sale, remove their shoes on entering someones house (bring slippers). They have constant hot water and make use of it.
: Gifts: I found that small things went down a treat I brought some Baileys and fresh Irish salmon that was well received. Hennessy brandy and martini bianco are rarities and they would really appreciate these drinks. They have plenty of crystal, woolrich winter coats woolen mills, candy,Duvetica Jackets, bring tapes of the latest western music for the kids and modern books are difficult to get (A friend of mine is an English teachere there and was delighted to get new books for her students). Bring lots of toiletries and leave them behind. As for Krivoy rog there is a fine craftshop in Karl Marx street that has many indigineous products to take home.
: In short I had a wonderful time, they are great people and I look forward to my return in Spring. I hope this is a good help for you new explorers out there
