Douglas Alexander
Submitted 2013-02-25 12:29:53 I have read a lot of misinformation or misinformed comment regarding article marketing and its worth in the general context of internet marketing. Some appear to regard an article as a money magnet, and I have had customers writing to me asking when the money is going to start flowing in after submitting their first article.
Here are some questions and answers on the topic:
Q: How long after submitting my article will the money start flowing into my bank account?
Ans: An article does not make you money: it merely sends visitors to your website through direct clicks and also from the exposure you get if your article is listed high enough in search engine results pages (SERPs). A good website offering good products or services will make more money than a poor one. An article is basically informative and persuasive and does not in itself get sales: your website does that, particularly the landing page offered in your resource.
Q: How do I word an article to get people to visit hollister france my website?
ANS: You must show a mastery of your niche or topic. For example, cat training. Readers must first believe that you are an expert in training cats, and the fact that nobody can train cats is irrelevant (in fact, cats can be trained). Your article should express the importance of training cats and then offer a possible way of doing so, or at least a hint that you can show the reader how.
Your final sentence should lead the reader into your resource (often referred to as the byline, profile or bio). The resource should persuade the reader that you can teach them how, and preferably offer a free gift such as an eBook in exchange for them visiting your website. Something to do with cats, such as the habits of cats and why they may need training.
Q: I want to submit my article to article directories. What about the duplicate content penalty - could that result in my website being delisted?
ANS: There are three points here, and I shall answer each in the order they appear.
a) First, there is no 'duplicate content penalty'. Google barbour outlet states that clearly in their own blog, the Google Webmaster Central Blog: "Let's put this to hollister france bed once and for all, folks: There's no such thing as a 'duplicate content penalty'."
b) Your website is not delisted because Google does not list websites- it lists individual web pages.
c) Nothing gets delisted: what Google does is to whittle down duplicate pages until there is ultimately only one page showing the content. That decision is made by algorithms (spiders) that calculate the relevance of each page to the search term used by Google's customer (the person carrying out a search for information). That decision can include the popularity of the page (backlinks from other relevant pages), the relevance of the text (using the LSI principle) and the importance of the rest of the website to the search term (keyword).
Q: What is the most important tip you would give on writing an effective article?
ANS: First, what is meant by 'effective'? barbour france paris In article marketing an 'effective' article is one that meets your objective in writing it. That could be to persuade the reader to click to your landing page, or simply to give them what they wanted when they started reading: my objective hollister is usually the latter.
I have two important tips:
a) Write to the reader and not a search engine. Give the reader what the title promises, and then add a sprinkling of hollister Legislation Of Attr keywords (~1% of the total text) and also semantically related text - not repetitions of the keyword, but words and phrases that are connected with it. Mainly louboutin pas cher though, write with the reader in mind - almost as barbour pas cher soldes if you was taking to them.
b) Make good use of the resource. Don't give them your biography, abercrombie pas cher but offer a means of learning more about the topic. Not an out-and-out sales pitch, but a promise that you woolrich sito ufficiale abercrombie milano Create Article To Newspaper can keep, such as a free eBook that offers more information. An article is not a sales letter.
Q: To how many article directories should I submit my article and how many should I write?
ANS: As many as you can in each instance! I hold no truck with those that tell you to ignore the minor directories on the pretext that they can do more damage than good. That's not true, and even if Google ultimately only lists one you will still get clicks from people that find your articles in the directory. I can get literally thousands of reads from minor directories over the course of a year. The more articles you write, the hollister uk more traffic you will get. Traffic is money.
Q: How important is spelling and grammar?
ANS: There's no excuse for spelling errors when there are so many spell checkers around - even many directories offer one in the submission box. Not everybody agrees with me, but I believe grammar to be very important. A high quality well written article with good grammar and no 'homonym mistakes' (there and their, whose and who's) will be far more likely to be read through, and the reader will be more liable to trust your command of your niche.
Not always logical, but true nonetheless. Still, sloppiness in one discipline often indicates woolrich outlet general sloppiness, so can you trust their products? That's the way many think.
Q: If you were to give only one tip to those starting out in article marketing, what would it be?
ANS: Know your subject and then write naturally and informatively. People like being given information, but not preached to. Stick to the topic and don't stray or waffle/fluff. That's 5 tips abercrombie pas cher in one sentence: don't say I don't give you value!
