The former wife of the oligarch Roman Abramovich has revealed for the first time the shadow of insecurity and violence that hung over her 16-year marriage to Russia's second richest man,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].

In her first public statements since the divorce,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Irina Abramovich hinted that the stringent security measures put a strain on the couple's marriage.

Press-shy and secretive, the football mogul never released details of his divorce from Irina,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but reports put her settlement at between £150 million and £3.9 billion, including homes in England.
